#TMV Online Club Meeting #1

We will conduct an online Toastmasters session covering typical personas like Speaker, Evaluator, Ah-Counter or Time Keeper. You can participate by taking an active role.

How can I participate?

Everybody:
Please register on easySpeak (http://tm-villach.tmclub.eu/), look for “Toastmasters Villach” go to the next meeting page and click on the “I will participate” button. The system will then register you as “guest” for that meeting. If you have any problems, please contact us on villach@toastmasters.carinthia.at.

Toastmasters members:
Please register and let us know your userid immediately, we can then change your status from “guest” to “member” and you will be able to volunteer for roles and ask for speeches to be scheduled on easySpeak.

JOINING THE MEETING
To join the online Toastmasters meeting, simply click on the following link from your computer, iPad or phone: https://zoom.us/j/983980368. (Meeting-ID: 983 980 368)

Please join us not later than 6.25 PM as the meeting will start promptly at 6.30 PM.

INSTALLING THE APP
If you haven’t installed Zoom on your device yet, it should be downloaded automatically when you click on the link. To speed up the process, you can download the Zoom app ahead of time!

TESTING ZOOM
You can test your connection to the Zoom app prior to the scheduled time by visiting Zoom Test Room.

ADVICE FOR THE MEETING:

? Please mute yourself when you are not talking by using the MUTE/UNMUTE button in the toolbar. The Toastmaster of the Evening (TME) might mute you when she detects echoes, noises or sound issues. Hotkeys for MUTE/UNMUTE: PC: Alt + A | Mac: Shift + Command + A | Telephone: *6

? Please provide nonverbal feedback. Use the feedback icons in the meeting’s participant list to engage with the group. Especially applause is an important part of every Toastmaster meeting.

? Please participate in the polls. The TME will ask you to vote on different topics (e.g. Best Speaker) during the meeting by using the Zoom polling feature. The final results will be shared with all participants afterward.
